REAL Charts: Alabama housing inventory falls in July, sales hold steady

Alabama housing inventory continued to dip during the month of July, as home sales remained steady for the month.
According to the latest data from the Alabama Center for Real Estate, there were 27,743 homes listed in Alabama during July, 9 percent below the inventory level a year ago. It did rise from 20,557 units during June of this year.
Meanwhile, home sales rose 6.6 percent from last year to 5,322. This number was 9 percent below the month of June.
Home prices for July rose slightly at 1.3 percent to $156,808.
